1/19/25 Red Flag Warning will go into affect 1/20/25-1/21/25 with a fire weather watch from Tuesday evening through Thursday. Winds will be between 25-40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. SCE says there might be power outages in your area.
1/11/25 Palisades Fire 3:00 PM- 11% contained. When Calabasas updates are reported we will post them here and at our FB Group.
1/11/25 Kenneth Fire 10:05 AM- 80% containment.
1/10/25 Kenneth Fire 6:00 AM- Some flare ups have been seen. LAFD is on the scene. 35% of the fire has been contained.
1/9/25 Kenneth Fire 7:25 PM- Fire progression has been stopped
1/9/25 Kenneth Fire 6:06 PM- Fire has spread to 960 acres.
1/9/25 Kenneth Fire 4:06 PM-Fire has spread to 500 acres working its way to the 101 Fwy. Evac has been alerts for parts of Calabasas and Hidden Hills.
1/9/25 Kenneth Fire 3:18 PM- Fire has been reported at Victory Bl at Valley Circle.
1/9/25 Palisades 2:44 PM- 17,234 acres 0% contained
The fire is being attacked by the LA County fire department and mutual aid from the air and ground at this point
There are still evacuation warnings for most of our city, as well as power outages to a portion of the city as well
If you are not aware, there will be a Townhall meeting later and once a link is provided, we will share it and so well our city
The fire protection is being situated in an area near Topanga at this point as slow slowly the fire has been moving
While we anticipate and hope
That are amazing firefighters and first responders will be able to stop and protect our community and the community of Topanga as well. There are never guarantees with a fire and of course it depends upon the wind as well.
12/10 8:00- AM Franklin Fire (Malibu)- 2200 acres burned so far. 0% containment. Fire has slowed. No threat to Calabasas at this time. PCH is closed.
11/9- Power has been restored.
11/8- We are aware of a large power outage. The area affected is Parkway Calabasas and all the surrounding areas. We have no information about how long this will last or what the cause is. If we have more information before power comes back on, we’ll update you.
11/6/24- Vegetation fire at Old Topanga Canyon Rd. and Dry Canyon Cold Creek Rd. Contained.
